What’s the Best Cleanser for Me?

Besides wearing SPF, washing your face every day is probably the most fundamental habit you can pick up when starting a skincare routine. Your choice of facial cleanser likely has more of an impact on your skin than you think; besides general hygiene, a solid face wash should do its job without stripping the skin, throwing off its pH balance, or exacerbating other skin issues (like dryness and breakouts).

All Versed cleansers are soap-free, eye- and pregnancy-safe, and made without 1,350+ questionable ingredients, like parabens, sulfates, and silicones. To help you choose the best cleanser for you, check out our guide.

Wash It Out | Made for: All Skin Types
Consider this lightweight wash the ‘white tee’ of your skincare routine. Our Gel Cleanser is made for each and every skin type, effectively cleansing away dirt, bacteria, and impurities without leaving behind that tight, squeaky-clean feeling (hint: you don’t want that). It's made with anti-inflammatory rosewater and seaweed, plus, a dash of mint, which adds a subtle, refreshing sensation to each and every wash.

Wash It Out’s pH is 5.8-6.5

Day Dissolve | Made for: All Skin Types
This dreamy jar is for all those who prefer balm over a traditional liquid wash. It’s an oil-based Cleansing Balm that melts away dirt and makeup (yes, even stubborn mascara) while retaining skin’s moisture, thanks to vitamin E, jojoba, and avocado oils. You can use Day Dissolve morning or night, but it’s especially useful paired with any of our other cleansers as part one of a double cleansing routine.

Because Day Dissolve is oil-based, it doesn’t have a pH.

Gentle Cycle | Made for: Dryness
Our ph-balanced Milky Cleanser was formulated with dry and sensitive skin types in mind, but it’s really for anyone looking for a soothing, gentle cleanse. Colloidal oatmeal (a.k.a. oat milk) and antioxidant-rich marula oil work together to keep skin hydrated and calm. pH-adjusting, bacteria-suppressing blackberry vinegar and balancing probiotics are also here to keep skin’s barrier function strong, healthy, and happy. If you struggle with inflammatory skin conditions like eczema and rosacea, this is the cleanser for you.

Gentle Cycle’s pH is 5.0-6.0

Keep the Peace | Made for: Acne-Prone Skin
Breakouts are frustrating and sometimes, a harsh cleanse can only make things worse. Enter: our Acne-Calming Cream Cleanser. It’s made with 1.5% salicylic acid, a BHA hero when it comes to fighting acne-causing bacteria. Apple fruit extract gently exfoliates away buildup and pore-clogging oil. By the way, this cleanser’s creamy blue hue is there for a reason—blue tansy, a botanical antioxidant, calms irritated, inflamed, stressed-out complexions. Pro tip: Cleanse skin with Keep the Peace before or after wearing your face mask to help combat ‘maskne’.

Keep the Peace’s pH is 5.2-6.2
